“What’s for dinner?…’SEAFOOD TACOS WITH SUNNY CITRUS DRESSING’!”

♥Hi Friends!

Guess what?  It’s “Taco Tuesday”!  In fact, every Tuesday is “Taco Tuesday”.  Something that was lost to me until I started my Instagram account and now see people all the time (well Tuesdays really) post all sorts of delicious taco recipes.  So, after putting these together the other day for a lunch date with my dear friend Holly, I have decided to throw my “Taco Tuesday” hat (or sombrero really) in to the ring! Continue reading “What’s for dinner?…’SEAFOOD TACOS WITH SUNNY CITRUS DRESSING’!”

“You say what is in that cough syrup!?!…& a recipe for ‘KATIE’S COUGH ELIXIR’.”

♥Hi Friends!

I haven’t been as present on my blog the last couple of months, really the last 6-8 months.  I’ve been doing a lot of HEALING.  Like the last 10% from a lifetime of SPIRITUAL, PHYSICAL and EMOTIONAL dis-ease.  And sometimes crossing the finish line can make you sprint harder and leave you more out of breath than the previous 90% of the race did. Continue reading “You say what is in that cough syrup!?!…& a recipe for ‘KATIE’S COUGH ELIXIR’.”

“An apple a day…& a recipe for ‘APPLE PECAN SALAD WITH SWEET VINAIGRETTE’.

♥Hi Friends!

Grandma and Grandpa Peterson have hands down the best garden ever!!!  I’m not sure if that’s because they are very particular about the quality and taste of what they grow and they’ve been doing it since the dawn of time.  Or because one of the biggest reasons they grow their garden each year, spending hours tending it, weeding it, watering it, and harvesting it, as well as canning much of it, is to share it with their family and neighbors. What’s for dinner?…’TOMATO BASIL BAGUETTES’!”

♥Hi Friends!

With Fall comes the last of the garden harvest.  (As a side note, do you need a good idea for the end of season tomatoes?  Grandma Peterson, my wonderful mother-in-law, is bringing me up the last of her “not-so-great-and-have-been-slightly-frozen-a-couple-of-times” tomatoes from her garden which I will promptly roast and make in to several batches of my ‘ROASTED TOMATO BASIL SOUP’ and frozen for a later date.) “Update on my spot cleaner…& ‘My Favorite All Purpose Cleaners’.”

♥Hi Friends!

My oldest Emily is right in the throws of those baby/toddler years.  My grandbabies are at the current moment 4, 2 and 6 months.  This brief period (although it feels like it will never end) is full of cute little hands and not so cute greasy, sticky messes.  Especially on the clothes. “Are We Not All Mothers?…& a recipe for ‘7 Layer Dip’.”

♥Hi Friends!

I’ve been out of town, and then had (and still have) family in town.  Hence the absence of my blog posts the last couple of weeks!  But since Mother’s Day is tomorrow I wanted to quickly share one of my favorite thoughts about mothers and our divine nature.  Divine you say?  Absolutely!  We are after all Daughters of God! Continue reading “Are We Not All Mothers?…& a recipe for ‘7 Layer Dip’.”

“My thoughts on Global Warming…& a recipe for ‘GRANDMA KATIE’S SPOT REMOVER’.”

♥Hi Friends!

Just a little update on my lilacs from one of my previous posts. I have three of these little bundles on my small but growing bush.  I didn’t get a pic when they were at their finest but this is what they looked like today!  And just in time for ‘Earth Day’! Continue reading “My thoughts on Global Warming…& a recipe for ‘GRANDMA KATIE’S SPOT REMOVER’.”
