“HEALING with Mother Nature: Part 2-EARTH…& a recipe for ‘Mango Pineapple Smoothie or Popsicles’.”

♥Hi Friends!

Mother Nature and the gifts Heavenly Father has blessed her with are awesome and amazing!  The more I learn about the nature of His HEALING power, I appreciate more and more all the resources around me, that He has created, that HEAL and bless me and those I love.  This post (Earth), and my last (Sun), are about two of His big ones!

Earthing!  Did you know the Earth has a spirit?  She has energy?  She reacts to the things we do to her, the way we treat each other, and the craziness going on all around us.  But, no matter how much more life around us changes, she will always contain HEALING energy that helps HEAL us.  Really!  And since the Lord works with natural laws, it’s actually a matter of science.  In a nutshell and among other things, the transfer of electrons from Mother Earth to our bodies reduces free radicals.  Free radicals cause inflammation.  And we know what too much inflammation does us right?  Disease!  Click here to read a really scientific sounding article about it.

“I don’t have time to spend 20 minutes a day outside Earthing” you say?  Poppycock!  Not only is it important, and might I say necessary for good HEALTH, you can look for ways to sneak it in.  In the Summer, we already engage in activities that help us connect with Mother Earth.  And in many instances you need only modify some of them.  Here’s some ideas.

♥Like I said in my last post, sit outside during your personal or family scripture study.  I try very hard to get my husband outside since he’s inside at work most of the day.  He may not even see the sun some days in the winter months.  Family scripture study is a great way to fit that in to a busy schedule.  Earthing!

♥Swimming and boating at the lake, or a day at the beach with your toes buried in the sand.  Camping (a family favorite up behind Mt. Timpanogas), and hiking too.  I love hiking in the mountains just above my home.  I could be wrong, but even if my shoes aren’t off while I’m up there, just being up away from all  the electrical devices and gadgets around us that suck the good energy from us and being surrounded from the HEALING energy from Mother Nature is just as good (I feel it!)  Earthing!

♥Throwing or kicking the ball around, volleyball, tossing a Frisbee, Bocce Ball  or Croquet?  Do it barefoot!  Earthing!

♥When my grandbabies come over, I make it a point of taking them outside, remove their shoes, and we explore our yard and the neighbors’ yards.  Earthing!

♥Gardening and weeding totally works!  My wonderful mother will be 77 in couple of months.  And although she’s just started her ‘GREEN SMOOTHIE’ journey, she has been an avid gardener for as long as I can remember.  I’m convinced that’s one of the things that has kept her HEALTHY for as long as she has because she works the earth.  And compared to most people her age, she’s a go getter!  I suggest gardening in your bare feet or without gloves on for at least 20 minutes of the time you’re out there.  Earthing!

Lately, with the large amounts of acorns that fall on my grass from my trees and those of my neighbor’s, me and my two youngers have made an almost daily habit of picking them up off the ground.  I actually love crawling around on my hands and knees, finding the hidden ones deep in the grass, and connecting with the Earth.  Earthing!

♥When picking up your kids from their various sports practices or music lessons, instead of waiting in the car, take your shoes off and sit on the grass!  And during their sporting events, kick your shoes off, put your feet in the grass, and enjoy the game!  Earthing!

♥How about just unwinding from the craziness of the day, talking with each other, connecting and sharing, out in the yard!  My Sweetheart doesn’t like the pokey crawly feeling of the grass and brings a pillow out with him to lay on, or simply just sits barefoot in a camping chair.  That’s okay, it’s still Earthing!

♥And what about winter?  Put a coat on, wrap a warm blanket around you, and go find a patch of grass free from the snow, and stick your bare tootsies on it!  Earthing!

I think the biggest message here is that we need to get outside more, away from all the electronic and media distractions and artificial light, and connect with the HEALING energy that our Heavenly Father has so readily available to us.  So make Sun and Earth a part of your daily habits for a HEALTHIER SPIRIT, BODY and MIND!

♥Love you!
